Dr. Szekely will be accepting one graduate student in Fall 2025.
Led by Dr. Eszter Szekely, our research lab is dedicated to understanding and addressing the emotional and mental health needs of perinatal individuals, families, and parents. We explore how psychological interventions, therapy, and social support can improve emotional well-being and relational health during the perinatal period.
Our work focuses on improving the mental health outcomes of parents and families by investigating the complex relationships between emotional needs, therapy approaches, and long-term family health. We believe in developing evidence-based strategies that nurture emotional resilience and strengthen bonds within families during the critical stages of pregnancy and early parenthood.
At PARENTS, our mission is to provide research evidence for therapeutic solutions that support families as they navigate the emotional challenges of the perinatal period, ultimately promoting healthy emotional development for both parents and children.
